Donations of Scientific Equipment:

 

Usable equipment and supplies can go a long way in supporting educational programs and faculty and student research in the BMS Department. If you are in a position to suggest or control the donation of scientific equipment to the Department of Biomedical Sciences please contact Dr. Harold Falls, BMS Department Head at (417) 836-5603 to determine if such equipment can be used in our educational and research programs.

 

 

Monetary Donations:

Some donors report they do not give because they think a large donation is expected. The average donation is in the range of $40 -- even your donation of $20 will help. Make your donation to the BMS fund of your choice today. It will help and we thank you!!!

Biomedical Sciences Department Founders Scholarship Fund

Donations to this fund provide for scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students in the programs of the Department of Biomedical Sciences. The Founders Scholarship Fund is dedicated to the faculty who were visionary in forming the Department of Biomedical Sciences in 1984. Established in the fall of 1999, the Founders Scholarship Fund recognizes the personal and professional sacrifices of this group of educators and scientists who are, or were, dedicated to developing timely and appropriate programs of study and preprofessional advisement for students of the biomedical sciences.

The founders faculty include: Paul J. Cameron, M.A., Susan J. Coiner, Ph.D., Michael M. Craig, Ph.D., Harold B. Falls, Jr., Ph.D., Christopher C. Field, Ph.D., Albert R. Gordon, Ph.D., Dennis L. Humphrey, Ed.D., Mark L. Leavitt, Ph.D., Wayne C. McKinney, Ph.D., Harley E. Mortensen, Ph.D., Barbara K. Newman, M.S.Ed., Helen C. Reid, Ph.D., and Honorary Founder, Robert T. Stevenson, Ph.D., former head of the Department of Biology.

 

General Fund of the Biomedical Sciences Department

Donations to this fund are used to meet needs as they arise.

Dietetics Program Fund

Donations to this fund are used to meet specific needs of the educational and research programs in dietetics.

Faculty Development Fund

Donations to this fund are used to support the professional and educational needs and activities of the faculty in the biomedical sciences.

Jack Wiles Memorial Scholarship Fund

Donations to this fund are used to support students in the premedical program.

Crystal Evans Pummill Fund

Donations to this fund are used to support students majoring in dietetics.

 

Donations for specific purposes will be honored. Financial support for activities such as the seminar program and student organizations such as the Missouri State University Student Dietetic Association and the Student Cell and Molecular Biology Club represent a continuous need. Donations in any amount will be appreciated. Even a few dollars help.
