Background:

Dr. Michael Craig is a graduate of Gettysburg College (A.B.,1970) and the University of Michigan (M.S.,1971 and Ph.D., 1977).

Dr. Craig is married to Carolyn R. Craig. They have one daughter, Lynn, about whom her father loves to brag. When not engaged in research in the electron microscopy laboratory, he enjoys reading, photography, and savoring classical music.

Research Interests:

Current research interests focus on the ultrastructural characterization of various nanoparticles used to convey important molecular cargo into cells. Past interests were:  Function and ultrastructure of morphogenetic cytoplasms present in the polar lobes of freshwater prosobranch gastropods; the relationship between the cortical cytoskeleton and the repositioning of morphogenetic determinants in embryos of the marine gastropod, Ilyanassa; gastropod morphogenetic movements.
