Spring Family Day 2017

Make plans to join us April 22nd for Spring Family Day at Hammons Field.  Head to Springfield and enjoy time with your student and cheer on the Bears Baseball team as they take on Wichita State at Hammons Field. There will also be other activities on campus open to you and your family. These activities are optional and require no tickets.  As of 4/22/2017 at 7:13am, the Spring Family Day baseball game is scheduled to start at 2:02pm. Family Day at Hammons Field

Hammons Field, Saturday, April 22nd, 2 pm

Deck out in your BearWear and join us in cheering on the Bears baseball team as they take on Wichita State. There are still tickets available for the game but they do not include t-shirts. You can purchase tickets at the Hammons Field Box Office.   If you have questions, Ask Priscilla at pchildress@missouristate.edu. Baseball tickets are non-refundable. If you purchased tickets that included a t-shirt, you can pick those up at Hammons Field inside the main gate.  If you are unable to pick up your t-shirt  at the game, you will be contacted after the game and arrangements made to get your t-shirt(s) to you as soon as possible.

Work-out with your Student

Foster Rec Center, Saturday, April 22nd, 9 am - 9 pm
Get active and enjoy a workout (or a swim) with your student in our newly built Foster Recreation Center! Families will have the opportunity to use the FRC to workout with their students. A signed waiver of consent is needed to use the facility. Family members can fill out the waiver form at the front desk of the center. Free admission

Dine with your Student

Blair-Shannon Dining CenterSaturday, April 22nd, 8 am - 11 am
Garst Dining CenterSaturday, April 22nd, 11 am - 2 pm
Join your student for a breakfast at Blair-Shannon Dining Center or for lunch at Garst Dining Center. Choose from a wide variety of cuisines and enjoy the decorative scenery as you indulge in a delectable eating experience. Students with an on-campus meal plan can invite their parents to join them and eat for free! The cost for additional family members is $6.50 per person.

Shop at the Missouri State Bookstore

Saturday, April 22nd, 10am - 4pm (on-campus)
Stop by the Missouri State Bookstore, located on the Missouri State campus, and pick-up some cool new BearWear. You can also shop the Bookstore at the baseball game starting at 1pm at Hammons Field.

Rappel with the Bear Battalion - This event has been CANCELLED due to rain.

ROTC Rappelling Tower, Saturday, April 22nd, 10 am - 1 pm
Looking for some adventure? Join the Bear Battalion as they teach you to rappel down the ROTC Rappelling Tower. Located across from the Foster Rec Center, the ROTC Rappel Tower will be manned by the cadets and staff of the Bear Battalion.  Free admission. This event has been CANCELLED due to rain.

Bowling at Level 1 Game Center

Level 1 Game Center, Saturday, April 22nd, 11 am - 10 pm
Spend some fun time bowling, playing pool and ping-pong with your student at Level 1 Game Center. Bowling costs $2 per game with a BearPass or $3 per game without one. Shoe rental is $1 with a BearPass and $1.50 without.

Enjoy the MFA in Visual Studies Graduate Thesis Exhibition - Exhibit B

Student Exhibition Center, Saturday, April 22nd, 12 noon - 5 pm
Missouri State University's Master of Fine Arts and Design places an emphasis on a student's individual research. This experience culminates with an MFA candidate's thesis exhibition highlighting the outcome of their research during the program. Depending on the candidate's interests, a wide range of approaches spanning contemporary, traditional and interdisciplinary use of media may be utilized in the creation a final body of work for the thesis exhibition.
