Self-Service Banner (SSB)

Self-Service Banner (SSB) is a web-based application that will replace the "My Information" menu for both students and staff.
System Requirements
A computer with Internet capabilities and a supported web browser are required to connect to SSB.  

Windows Web Browser Requirements:
Internet Explorer 7.0, 8.0
Firefox 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, 3.6

Mac OS X Web Browser Requirements:
Safari 1.2, 4.1, 5.0.5
How to Connect
The Self-Service Banner system can be accessed by logging into Self-Service Banner (SSB) with your BearPass Number and Self-Service Banner (SSB) PIN.


Internet Native Banner (INB)

 
Windows System Requirements:
Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or Windows Vista or Windows 7
450 MHz processor or faster
256 MB RAM
100 MB free disk space (40 MB recommended)
Display resolution of 1024 x 768

Web Browser Requirements:
Recommended: Internet Explorer 7.0 or 8.0 with the Sun Java Plug-in (JRE) 1.5 or higher (v1.6.24 is recommended)
Firefox 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 3.5, 3.6 with Sun Java 1.4.2 or higher (v1.6.24 is recommended)
Mac OS X System Requirements:

OS X
200 MHz PowerPC G3 or better
256 MB RAM minimum
Display resolution of 1024 x 768

Web Browser Requirements:
Recommended: Safari 1.2, 4.1, 5.0.5 with Sun Java 1.4.2 or higher (v1.6.24 is recommended)
Firefox 1.5 with Sun Java 1.4.2 or newer (v1.6.24 is recommended)
Firefox 1.5 with Sun Java 1.4.2 or higher (v1.6.24 is recommended)
Mozilla Based (Mozilla, Camino, etc.) with Sun Java v1.6.24

NOTE: Older versions of Mozilla-based browsers require the Java embedding plugin utility found on the Java Embedding Plugin for Mac OS X page to use system installed Java 1.4.2. Firefox 1.5 does not require this.

Additional Notes for Mac OS X:
The font size of Internet Native Banner in Mac OS is very small by default. However, sometimes in Safari or Firefox, the characters are difficult to read because they do not display clearly or parts of some characters are missing. You can resolve this by turning on the Smooth All Text in Java Applets settings option. How to Connect

Web Browser Requirements:

Required: Internet Explorer 7.0 or greater (requires ActiveX installation)

AppWorx Job Submission and Automation System

Windows System Requirements:

Note: Sun Java 1.6 is not currently compatible with AppWorx.

Banner Document Management System (BDMS)

BDMS is an imaging and electronic document management system for clients who use Banner products. It is designed to meet the imaging and document management requirements of higher education. Each functional area within Banner - Advancement, Finance, Financial Aid, Human Resources and Student - have specific points of integration designed to improve efficiency and supplement the decision making process through easy access to relevant document collections.
Windows System Requirements for BDMS Web:

Windows XP (SP3), Windows Vista (SP2) or Windows 7

Web Browser Requirements:
Recommended: Internet Explorer 7.0 or 8.0 provides the full interactive client, including the ability to annotate, scan and index documents. 

The limited functionality thin client may be used to view documents in Firefox 3.5 or Safari 4.

Mac OS X System Requirements for BDMS Web:

OS X
200 MHz PowerPC G3 or better
256 MB RAM minimum
Display resolution of 1024 x 768

Web Browser Requirements:
Firefox 3.5

How to Connect
Login to BDMS Web Access  with your Banner ID and Banner Password. The first time that an image is selected for viewing, an ActiveX IRC viewer plug-in (from EMC Corporation) will be automatically loaded.

Note that the first time you access BDMS Web it must be through Internet Native Banner in order to synchronize your INB user ID and password with BDMS.  After that you may login to BDMS Web directly using your Banner ID and Banner password.  It is helpful to install the BDMS components and ActiveX controls prior to using BDMS for the first time.
