Are you a young bandsman looking for an opportunity to enhance your performance skills this summer? The Bands Alive Summer Camp at Missouri State University is the place to be! Summer band camps provide instruction, rehearsal and performance experiences that will enhance your growth as a musician, leader, and role model for your own school program.
BAND CAMP is for students grades 6-12 and concentrates on music in the concert setting.
SPIN CAMP is for students entering grades 9-12. This camp focuses on marching specialties with classes in color guard, including flag, rifle and sabre.
The LEADERSHIP CAMP is designed for high school drum majors and section leaders. Instruction will include various leadership methods that students will be able to use with their own school bands.
All campers are housed in University Residence Halls. Camp counselors are on duty at all times. Meals are served in one of the University’s Dining Halls. Our camp staff is comprised of leaders from the Pride Band Program, marching techs with extensive drum corps experience, and highly respected music educators from throughout the Midwest.
Our Camp Finale is a culmination of the week’s hard work with performances by all campers. Don’t miss out on this summer opportunity to make new friends as you take the next step on your musical journey!
