Camp FAQs

What are the benefits of summer camp?

Summer band camps provide instruction, rehearsal and performance experiences that will enhance your growth as a musician, leader and role model for your own school program.

What age level are the camps designed for?

Band Camp is for students grades 6-12 and focuses on music in the concert setting.

Leadership Camp is designed for high school drum majors and section leaders. Instruction will include various leadership methods that students will be able to use with their own school band.

Spin Camp is for students entering grades 9-12. This camp concentrates on marching specialties with classes in color guard, including flag, rifle and sabre.

Where do campers stay?

All campers are housed in University Residence Halls. Camp counselors are on duty at all times.

Where do campers eat?

All meals are served in one of the University's Dining Halls.

Who teaches at the camp?

Our camp staff is comprised of leaders from the Pride Band Program, marching techs with extensive drum corps experience, and highly respected music educators from throughout the Midwest.
