Members of the Missouri State University Academy Team participated in the Learning Exchange for Academy members at the 2007 HLC Annual Meeting in Chicago.

The Learning Exchange is a platform for participants to comment and share Academy experiences and a plenary presentation. Team members demonstrating two campus projects and a poster explaining efforts to assess and improve student learning were Martha Kirker, Director of the Center for Assessment and Instructional Support, Etta Madden, Chair of the University's HLC Monitoring Committee, Denise Bauman, Associate Director of Residence Life and Services, Earle Doman, Vice President of Student Affairs, and Tammy Jahnke, Dean of College of Natural and Applied Sciences.

The two action projects are designed to intertwine the learning goals of both Academic Affairs and Student Life. Together the projects, Living-Learning Communities for First-Year Success and Revision of Academic Program Review Process, will contribute to improved integrated student learning and its assessment throughout campus.
