Dr. Hamid Eltgani has a Ph.D. in Economics and Public Policy from the University of Texas at Austin. His area of concentration is public policy, economic development and comparative economic policy. Currently, Dr. Eltgani works at the U.S. Government Accountability Office in Dallas-Texas. He taught at Texas State University and the University of Texas at Austin. He worked for the Texas Workforce Commission and the Center for Transportation Research. Dr. Eltgani was born and raised in Darfur-Sudan. Over the past three years, Dr. Eltgani lectured widely on the Darfur Crisis. His participation in the conference addresses the Darfur Crisis within the Middle East, the Islamic and the international context.
