About Jill: Jill’s experience at Missouri State includes the areas of Admissions, Academic Advisement, and teaching English composition and Freshman Orientation. Jill has taught at the high school, community college, and university levels. She currently resides in the Kansas City area. She holds a B.S.E. in English, an M.A. in English, and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration. She has served as president for the Missouri Association for College Admission Counseling (MOACAC) 1999-2000. Jill’s responsibilities include working with high school counselors/students/parents, working with Alumni nationally to assist with recruitment efforts, and serving as the liaison between the Kansas City area educational community and Missouri State University.

Favorite things about Missouri State: Incredible students, award-winning Academic Advisement Center, Learning Commons/BearClaw, our Public Affairs mission, Service-Learning classes, and caring, engaged, and knowledgeable faculty.

Favorite places on campus: Meyer Library, the Citizen Scholar statue, the entrance of Carrington Hall, sidewalks anytime between classes, bicycle paths on campus, international flags along the west corridor of campus, and anywhere the MSU Pride band is practicing or playing.
