Favorite things to do on weekends
I enjoy being outside, going to events, and being around my friends and family. On weekends in the summer you can often find me at a Springfield Cardinals game cheering on the Cards or visiting Table Rock Lake which is only about 45 minutes away! I also enjoy visiting the movie theatre downtown to see a recent flick!
Favorite Place to Eat
I am a foodie and love trying new places. My favorite place although has to be Bambino’s. Bambino’s is a little Italian restaurant in the neighborhood across from campus. SO DELICIOUS!
Why Missouri State
When I began looking at colleges to attend, I had no idea where to begin. I decided to contact Missouri State’s Office of Admissions and schedule a campus visit and an Admissions Counselor appointment. After visiting the campus and meeting with an Admissions Counselor, I knew that Missouri State was the place for me. When I moved in to the resident halls I immediately felt at home at Missouri State. Everyone was so welcoming and wanted to get to know me. That was a feeling throughout the whole campus. My teachers genuinely cared and wanted to get to know me. Now that I work for the Office of Admissions, I could not be more proud to be a Missouri State Bear!
Favorite thing about Missouri State
My favorite thing about Missouri State is all of the opportunities it has for students to get involved. Missouri State offers more than 300 different student organizations. There is literally something for everyone. We have organizations from fraternity and sorority life all the way to a Price is Right organization. When you get involved you will meet so many new people and feel that much more connected to Missouri State!
Something you wish you had known before going to college
Take full advantage of the different academic resources we have on campus! We offer a free tutoring program in the Bear Claw in the library. This resource helps you with homework, papers and other projects. We also offer a career center that can help you discover what you are passionate about, part time and full time jobs, mock interviews, and resume building. Make sure to take full advantage of these resources! Last thing I will say is to just enjoy your time at Missouri State. Your years at Missouri State fly by so make sure you enjoy every second!
