Administrative Services

The Office of Administrative Services is a department within the Administrative and Information Services Division.  We are responsible for providing a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment that enables the University to achieve its purpose of developing educated persons.

Missouri State University takes a number of steps to prevent violence and promote safety on our campus.  Our obligation to plan for emergencies and the safety of our students and employees is one that we take very seriously.

For a general description of the University's Emergency Response Plan, please refer to the following link: http://www.missouristate.edu/safetran/erp.htm.  This link contains a great deal of information that describes contingencies in place to handle a range of emergencies and disasters of both natural and man-made origins.

Matters of safety and security are everyone's responsibility at some level--obeying the University's restriction on having weapons on campus, being vigilant for breaches of security, locking doors to buildings and offices when we leave them for the day, and encouraging individuals who may be undergoing stressful periods or experiencing obvious signs of emotional disturbance to seek professional intervention.  These are just some of the practices that each of us can render in the interest of campus safety.  Please let us know of additional suggestions you might have to improve our capacity for responding to emergency situations on campus as we strive to make our campus as safe and secure as possible.

Remember, should you have such a concern that is an emergency, please call 911, or call the campus contact 836-5509.

For violations that do not pose an immediate threat and are not emergencies, please report your known or suspected violation through the normal University channel (such as your supervisor or the appropriate department or University official.)
