Just what does going Greek cost?

 
The information provided is about fraternity/sorority cost. This is provided to Greek Life from the individual chapters here at Missouri State University and is as accurate as possible. If chapters have not reported please do not hesitate to ask them for this information. Cost is an important factor in joining. If you have further questions contact individual chapters or contact Greek Life at 417-836-4386.
 

Chapter Dues **  

Panhellenic Sororities:

 
Alpha Chi Omega                 $720 per year: Members have the option of paying $80 monthly but are encouraged to pay $360 at              the start of each semester
 
Alpha Delta Pi                       $200 per semester
 
Alpha Sigma Alpha               $70/month for 9 months ($35 to chapter, $35 to Housing dues); $85 Spring National Due (paid by each member each spring)
 
Delta Zeta                               Out of House = $100/month for 9 months  ($900 a year) ($20 parlor fee, $50 national dues, $30 social)
                                                Living in the House = $65/month for 9 months ($585 a year) ($50 national dues, $15 social)
 
Sigma Kappa                         $30/ month for 9 months (Sept – May); $55 for summer dues; $65 annual fee per member due in fall
 
Sigma Sigma Sigma               $60 out of house; $35 in house for 10 months

Xi Omicron Iota                    $70 per semester and $50/semester fundraising

 New Member Fees:**

These are fees that are paid specifically at the beginning of the membership for a student. Most are one time fees and once they are iniated into the chapter they no longer see fees like these.

Alpha Chi Omega                 $256.50 New Member Fee paid in full or in two payments; $35 badge fee (can be higher if member chooses a more expensive badge)

Alpha Sigma Alpha               $170 iniation fees (one time); $43 advantage material (one time)

Sigma Kappa                         $45.50 Badge Fee; $75 new member fee; $175 Iniation Fee; Dues for New members $30/month (until iniated); Corporation Dues $45/ month (until iniated)

Xi Omicron Iota                    $70 per semester and $75 one time new member dues
 
Sigma Alpha Chi                   $50 for iniation, followed by paying $150 per semester after iniation
 

National Pan-Hellenic Chapters:

Alpha Phi Alpha                   New Member dues are based on classification (such as FR, SO, JR, SR) the higher the class the higher your dues that range from $650 for freshman to $460 for seniors. This covers Nationals dues all throughout college.         
 
Delta Sigma Theta                 $400 includes iniation fees and chapter dues for 2 years; fees imposed by National Office made available at formal rush
 
Kappa Alpha Psi                   $1100 for freshman; $1000 for sophomores; $900 for juniors/seniors

House Fees : **

These fees are primarily if there is a lease and the student lives in the house.  In some cases there is a house fee to just be a member, this is to provide access to all members and usage of the house by all members.
 

Panhellenic Sororities:

Alpha Chi Omega                 $4800 for fall and spring semester; payment broken down by semester: $300 down payment due April 1; first installment of $2250 due August 1 second installment due by January 1 or the full payment can be made
 
Alpha Delta Pi                       $2150/semester for those who live in
 
Alpha Sigma Alpha               $4410 rent (Annually), $50 cleaning deposit (per fiscal year), $50 parking fee (per fiscal year), $150 building fund fee (one time fee), $60 internet fee (per fiscal year)
 
Delta Zeta:                             $500/month rent for 9 months (when you live in) 
 
Sigma Kappa                         $45/month/9 months (only non-resident members pay; $250 housing and furnishing fee (due only once, half 2nd semester, half 3rd semester of membership after iniation); $5250 rent (in house only) for fall and spring semester ( different payment plans available)
           
Sigma Sigma Sigma               $405/month for 10 month lease
