Team GPA Award

The Achievement Center for Intercollegiate Athletics developed an award to give to the top team each year.  The award is based on the cumulative GPA for the team during an academic school year (fall and spring semesters).  The award is then presented at a home athletic event to the winning teams.

Starting in the 2000-2001 academic year, the GPA award has been expanded to represent the efforts of more student-athletes.  Two divisions have been formed within both the Men's and Women's sports based on the number of athletes on the roster at the beginning of the fall semester.  This "evens the playing field" between teams with only a few student-athletes and those with many.  The GPA award will be given based on the team GPA in each of the divisions for a total of four awards each year.
