Additional information

It is important for all of your classes to count toward general education, a major, or a minor to stay on track for meeting the required percentage of degree completion.

You must be a full-time student to maintain eligibility. This means you must be registered for at least 12 hours each semester. Any dropped class must be approved by the Athletics Administrator who oversees your sport.

Freshmen: You must pass at least 18 hours during the regular school year (fall and spring) to be able to use a maximum of 6 hours of summer school to reach 24 for the year. If you pass 17 hours or less during the regular year, you will not be eligible.

The GPA requirement must be met each semester. For example, if you are required to have at least a 1.80 at the beginning of your 3rd semester, you must also have at least a 1.80 at the beginning of your 4th semester.

You must pass a minimum of 6 hours at Missouri State each semester to be eligible for competition in the following semester. Summer school cannot be used to meet this requirement. This is an NCAA rule.

If your team’s post-season championship occurs after the end of a semester (i.e. in May or June), you must pass a minimum of 6 hours in that semester to be eligible for any competition that occurs after the scheduled conference championship. This is a Missouri State rule.
