Welcome to the Missouri State Faculty Senate Website. The Faculty Senate is a representational body that provides recommendations to the Administration and Board of Governors on issues of concern to Faculty and the University. Representatives to the Senate are elected in each department and from among the various professorial ranks: Professor, Associate, Assistant, as well as Instructor, and an Unranked Instructor representative.
The Faculty Senate represents more than 700 full-time faculty members. The Senate is active in advancing faculty interests, ranging from course content and quality to faculty morale and salary issues. You may stay abreast of University business by consulting your Faculty Senate Departmental Representative, by reading updates here on the Faculty Senate Webpage, and by e-mailing the Faculty Senate Office.
