Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Examination (CPCE) examinees must pre-register and pre-pay to test at Missouri State University. The registration form must be completed and turned in with the sitting fee at the time of pre-registration.  

Registrations for after the deadline posted in the table above are for the next available testing date. 

IMPORTANT NOTICE: the CPCE will be converting to a computer-based exam after the July 8, 2017 administration. Additional information about the new version of the exam will be posted as we are able.

Register for the CPCE

Sitting Fee: $25.00 (paid as part of the registration process through the online payment system link above; credit or debit cards or other authorized method of electronic funds transfer only; no cash or personal checks accepted). 

Test Fee: $50.00 (paid at the test site on the day of testing; cashiers check or money order payable to CCE - no cash, credit/debit cards, or personal checks can be accepted).

The Day of the Exam

Candidates must adhere to the following requirements on the day of the exam:

  • Present a valid photo ID
  • Provide proof of payment for sitting fee if asked
  • Submit payment of the $50 test fee in the form of cashiers check or money order payable to CCE - no cash, credit/debit cards, or personal checks can be accepted. 
  • Students who need accommodations need to contact Kevin Wilson by email to schedule alternative arrangements.  Candidates will need provide a copy of their approved accommodations from the Learning Diagnostic Clinic or the Disability Resources Center in either paper or electronic form. 

Test Results

Exam results are provided by the testing company after the exam. The Testing Center and/or the Testing Technician do not at any time have access to your results.
