Student Orientation, Advisement & Registration (SOAR) is an orientation program for first-time freshmen students (those with fewer than 24 credit hours earned after their high school graduation) and their family members.  SOAR can best be described as the welcoming party for our new students and their families, and we strive to make the experience exciting, informative, and lots of fun!  New students form bonds with their student SOAR leaders, an academic advisor, and other new students through activities and sessions.   They also receive information about programs, offices, and individuals who can make their college experience richer, more fulfilling, and more successful.

Services Offered to the Campus Community:

1. Information that students need to navigate the community well and help them be successful
2. Opportunities for students to establish personal connections with faculty, staff, and fellow students
3. Information that departments need to know about the newest additions to our student body
4. Training and developing dedicated student leaders from the campus community
