Exercise Laboratory

This laboratory is dedicated to teaching students the practices of clinical settings, and integrates these clinical practices with didactic teaching sessions. Our Exercise Laboratory is equipped for orthopedic procedures and therapeutic exercise. It is located in Room 202 of the Physical Therapy Building.

Often, our students are given instructions and taught techniques in a teaching area within the lab. Students are then given an opportunity to practice those same techniques in the lab. The lab is equipped with a number of high-low tables, wheelchair, crutches, and other equipment that would allow students to practice clinical techniques for the proper care and treatment of patients and clients. Some of the techniques the students learn in this laboratory include therapeutic procedures such as examination, joint mobilization, and exercise prescription.
