Missouri State University is the second public institution in Missouri to offer a program leading to a Master of Physical Therapy degree. The Department of Physical Therapy is housed in this new Physical Therapy Building.
The PT Building is located west of the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts. At this facility, the University sponsors many events, ranging from plays and musicals, to national concerts and orchestra performances, to live comedy acts. The PT Building is also located northwest of the Hammons Student Center, which is currently being upgraded into the new John Q. Hammons Arena. This facility hosts Missouri State men and women's basketball and volleyball games. It also houses a pool for swim team and personal use.
In the vicinity of the PT Building are a number of restaurants for students to eat lunch or dinner. These local restaurants include Planet Sub, Cheezie's Pizza, Dragon Inn II, and Subway.
Additionally, as can be seen in the map below, there is an excellent amount of parking around the Physical Therapy Building. A parking lot is located to the south and east of the building. Its immediate proximity to the Physical Therapy Building makes it very convenient for students, faculty, and staff.
