All applications to the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy program are processed through the Physical Therapist Centralized Admission Service (PTCAS). To apply to the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy program use the following link: www.ptcas.org and follow the instructions.
The next application cycle for the class beginning our program in August 2015 will begin in July 2014. Missouri State University is participating in the Early Decision program through PTCAS. The deadline for Eary Decision applications is August 15, 2014. The deadline for all applications for admission to the class beginning our program in August 2015 is October 15, 2014 (all materials should be received by this date). PTCAS allows PT applicants to use a single Web-based application and one set of materials to apply to multiple PT programs. PTCAS is a service of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and is administered by Liaison International (LI), an education information technology company located in Watertown, Massachusetts.
Applicants who apply through PTCAS submit a completed web-based application comprised of biographical data, colleges and universities attended, academic course history, physical therapy observation hours, list of reference providers, work experiences, extracurricular activities, honors, professional licenses, and a personal essay. It is the applicant's responsibility to read and follow all PTCAS and program-specific instructions.
It is important for prospective students to remember that they must also apply to the Graduate College once they have been accepted into the entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Applying to the Graduate College can be done either electronically online, or by downloading a copy of the admission application*.
