Hello! My name is Gabriel Fleetwood, and I am currently a sophomore at MSU. I am from Nixa, MO, a small town just to the south of Springfield. I grew up in Nixa, so I know the area of Springfield quite well; there is a lot of fun stuff to do. I am an Instrumental Music Education major (I'm a percussionist!!!) with a minor in Spanish. I love music; it is the cornerstone of my life. At MSU, I am a member of Mu Phi Epsilon, a professional music fraternity. Also, I am a member of the Honors College, of CMENC, and of the Hutchens Centennial Leaders as well as a section leader in the Pride of Missouri State marching band.
I am pretty quirky and outgoing—I laugh and smile too much. I am the definition of a morning person, so it is hard to catch me on a bad day. I also like to play tennis, to read poetry, and to hang out with friends. I'm ridiculously organized and time-managed. I actually have three jobs. I work at an Asian restaurant called Tasia; I am one of the percussion instructors at Hillcrest High School in Springfield; and, I work in the MSU Music Department. If you ever need something or have a question, don't be afraid to ask. I'll be willing to help! I'm excited to be a peer leader this fall, and I can't wait to get to work!
