Hey there, my name is Matt Eastman and I am a Junior here at Missouri State. I am from Saint Charles, MO (just west of Saint Louis) and I attended Duchesne High School. My major is Elementary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics. I am really upbeat, outgoing, and love to meet new people. I enjoy watching my favorite baseball team, the St. Louis Cardinals! I like to play sports, preferably Volleyball or Frisbee. I am a huge Facebook fanatic. One weird thing about me is that I love thunderstorms! I will watch a storm move in to the Springfield area if I have the time. While I’m at school, I try to be involved in as many things as possible.
- This is my second year as a Resident Assistant in Wells House.
I love the opportunity of being able to help out students with everyday questions and concerns.
- I am the Scholarship Chair of my social Greek Fraternity. I joined in Spring 2010 and am really glad that I did!
- I am a University Ambassador and help show prospective students and their families why I love Missouri State.

I am glad that you chose to attend Missouri State. Attending this university was one of the best choices that I have ever made. If I had to offer one piece of advice to incoming freshman, it would be to GET INVOLVED!! Have a very open mind and consider anything that even sounds interesting to you. Missouri State is a great school and offers so many opportunities to the students, and I would suggest to take advantage of these “once in a lifetime” chances. I’m proud to call Missouri State my second home, and I hope that someday you will feel the same way.
