Hey Yawl. My name is Michael Rieger and I’m from Kansas City, Missouri. I am a sophomore who is undecided on his major. I grew up in a military family so traveled around a lot when I was growing up. At the university I am the Scholarship Chair for the National Residence Hall Honorary, a Resident Assistant in Kentwood, a member of Phi Eta Sigma, a member of R.E.A.L. Bears, an advisor to Hall Council, a member of the Honors College, and much more. In my free time I enjoy cooking, playing tennis, golfing, and bowling.

Missouri State has a unique public affairs mission that will be stressed to all students. Students are encouraged to participate in public affairs events that interact with the Springfield community and world organizations. There are countless opportunities for students to get involved including Tunnel of Oppression, public affairs week, community service, and many others.
