Hello my name is Emily Pellegrino. I am from St.Peters, Missouri (close to St. Louis). I am currently a sophomore at MSU majoring in Elementary Education with an emphasis in eMINTS training. I am involved with the Vine Campus ministry Leadership team, an off-campus Christian Ministry, and last but certainly not least a Peer Leader! I love participating in campus intramurals like girl’s volleyball and basketball.
There are just so many wonderful activities and organizations available at Missouri State. I would definitely recommend getting involved because of all the new experiences and people you will encounter. Being involved will truly make your college years so much more enjoyable and meaningful. College is such a special and unique time in life! Take advantage!
One small piece of advice for incoming freshman is to not be afraid of asking for help. The first year of college can be hard. There are so many changes and new responsibilities and pressures and it is so easy to get overwhelmed. Don’t be afraid to ask for help from your Professors, RA’s, Peer Leaders, or any MSU staff member. These people are here to help you and would be more than happy to help!
