Hi! This is Ellis Cole, a junior majoring in Near Eastern Antiquities with three minors: Classical Antiquities, Middle Eastern Studies, and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). I’m from a farm near Butler, Missouri that I live on with three sisters, Hilari, Bethanie, and Gabby, and my mom and dad. Besides being a peer leader, I’m involved with Phi Eta Sigma, and honors organization, as well as a campus political organization.
This is my second year on campus. I love Missouri State! So, if you bump into me on campus, please say hi! It will probably take me a couple of times to master your name, but I’ll keep at it until I get it! My advice for incoming students is to attend class all of the time—even if you skip just once, you’re done for! Sometimes school is hard, but you’ll get used to it. Most importantly: seek out relationships with faculty, staff, and other students. University can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life if you’re willing to put in a little effort.
