Ballinger-Colon-Compton Award
Student must be a sophomore or junior who is pursuing a teacher degree with the preference being given to a junior student who has submitted a plan to study or travel in a Spanish speaking country. Recipient must have an overall 3.0 GPA and 3.5 GPA in Spanish, demonstrate proficiency in the Spanish languages and enroll full time (12 hrs).

Anna L. Blair Scholarship Fund*
Student must enroll for at least 12 hours each semester, show consistent academic excellence and prove financial need.

Thomas Fullerton Memorial Scholarship*
Student must be a full time sophomore or junior. First priority is given to a French major pursuing a teaching degree and desiring to travel to study French culture; Second priority is given to a French major or minor who desires to travel to study the French culture; Third priority is given to a student with a major or minor in French. Recipient must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and a 3.4 GPA in French. Financial need is considered.

Wanda Gorczynski Latin Scholarship
Student must be a full time sophmore or junior with an overall GPA of 3.0 and Latin (major) GPA 3.5.

William and June Ross Holman Cultural Study Abroad Award*
Student must be an undergraduate who has no previous international travel experiences.  Student must have maintained an overall GPA of 2.5 and a GPA of 3.0 in their major languages. Recipients must be enrolled in at least 12 hours the semester preceding travel and must be traveling to a foreign country for an internship or pursue a study program. Financial need is considered.

Madeleine Kernen Travel Fund
Student must demonstrate leadership through appropriate departmental activities as well as activities associated with his/her major area of study. Student must demonstrate adaptability and sensitivity to other cultures as determined by committee.

Homer and Dorothy Mace Kesterson Scholarship
Student must be a full time junior or above majoring in biology, educational administration english, mathematics or modern and classical languages. Recipient must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and a 3.5 GPA in his/her major. Student must be enrolled in at least 12 hours if an undergraduate, or 6 hours if a graduate student. Submit an essay describing your academic goals and career plans to the Office of Financial Aid by the specific deadline.

Florence C. Painter Scholarship*
Student must be a junior or senior pursuing a secondary education degree, with preference given to those planning to teach Spanish. Applicant must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. Financial need is considered.

James Woodward German Scholarship
Student must be a sophomore or junior who has maintained an overall GPA of at least 3.0 and a GPA of 3.5 in German.
