Applied Consumer Sciences Scholarships

Contact the department at (417) 836-5136 for a special application. Scholarship amounts may vary annually. Unless otherwise noted, students must be undergraduates, enrolled full-time (12 hours).

Jo Anne B. Booher Scholarship
Student must be junior or senior with a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and a member of Student Member Section of Missouri Home Economics Association and American Home Economics Association.

Floy T. Burgess Scholarship
Student must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 and major GPA of 3.25.  Eligible candidates are those who will graduate within two semesters of application.

Carrie L. Hammack / Saint Louis Bread Company Scholarship
Student must have completed a minimum of 18 hours of hospitality and restaurant administration classes, including HRA 299 internship requirement, and have maintained a GPA of 3.0 in hospitality and restaurant administration classes. Preference will be given to a student who shows interest in pursuing a career in the restaurant industry.

Kim Knight Memorial Scholarship
Student must be enrolled at the sophomore level or higher with an overall GPA of at least 3.0 and a GPA of  at least 3.0 in hospitality and restaurant administration. Financial need is considered.

Gary M. Koch Hospitality Scholarship
Student must have completed a minimum of 15 hours of coursework in the Hospitality and Restaurant Administration Program and maintained an overall GPA of 2.5. Financial need is considered.

Earl Moulder Hotel Administration Endowed Scholarship
Student must be a junior who has a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Dick and Pauline Tuter Memorial Scholarship
Student must be a child and family development, hospitality and restaurant administration or family and consumer sciences education major. First priority given to a graduate from McDonald or Newton counties in MO; second priority will be given to a graduate from high schools in Southwest Missouri; and third priority will be given to a graduate student, who has graduated from a high school in southwest Missouri, with an undergraduate degree in one of the required majors. When awarded to a student enrolled at the sophomore level or higher, the student must have maintained an overall GPA of at least 2.5 and a GPA of at least 3.0 in their major field of study. Financial need is considered.
