Student must complete 60 hours or more and exhibit outstanding scholarship as well as involvement in extra-curricular activities.
Robert S. Christie Memorial Scholarship
Student must have worked in the chemical stockroom preparing solutions/supplies for laboratories or have worked in a research library and be enrolled in at least 12 hours each semester.
Robert Lloyd Ernst Chemistry Graduate Summer Assistantship
Student must be enrolled as a graduate student. Preference will be given to a student who should be able to complete all requirements for the Masters Degree with this additional funding. Preference should be given to a student whose graduate advisor lacks funding for a summer chemistry assistantship. Awards will be made without regard for financial need, however, if all the qualifications are equal, preference will be given to a student who demonstrates financial need.
Foundation for Immunotoxicology Award
Student must have completed at least 12 hours toward chemistry / biology and maintained an overall GPA of at least 3.5.
Louise and Roland Harthcock Scholarship
Student must be a chemistry major. When awarded to incoming freshmen, consideration will be given to high school performance (top 25%), college potential as indicated by aptitude tests and to leadership qualities. When awarded to a student enrolled at sophomore level or higher, the student must have maintained an overall GPA of 3.0 and a GPA of at least 3.25 in chemistry.
Doris C. Lorz Scholarship
Student must be a junior or senior chemistry major with at least 20 hours of chemistry course work completed and have a GPA of at least 3.8 in chemistry and an overall GPA of at least 3.0. Student must be enrolled in at least 15 hours each semester. Consideration will be given to activities and memberships in the chemistry field beyond classroom.
Emil Lorz Memorial Scholarship Award
Student must be a junior or senior chemistry major with at least 20 hours of chemistry course work completed and have a GPA of at least 3.8 in chemistry and an overall GPA of at least 3.0. Student must be enrolled in at least 15 hours each semester.
Eugene T. Scafe Memorial Scholarship
Student must have completed a minimum of 60 hrs of college credit with a minimum of 3.0 GPA and have completed 18 hours of chemistry with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.
