Contact the department directly for deadline and application information. Scholarship amounts vary annually. Unless otherwise noted, students must be undergraduates, enrolled full-time (12 hours).

Russell G. Barnekow, Jr. Memorial Scholarship
Student must enrolled at the graduate level with an overall undergraduate GPA of 3.60, and GPA of at least 3.60 in Biology. This scholarship is awarded to an outstanding graduate student in Biology. Financial need is considered.

Biology Alumni Scholarship
Student must have completed 60 hours toward a BA or BS degree in Biology and at least 15 hours of Biology (including BIO 235) with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Biology and must enroll for at least 12 hours.

Biology Education
Student must have completed 60 hours toward a B.S.Ed., and at least 15 hours of Biology (including BIO 235) with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Biology.  The student must have been admitted into Teacher Education program and enroll for 12 hours.

Foundation for Immunotoxicology Award
Student must have completed at least 12 hours toward chemistry / biology  and maintained an overall GPA of at least 3.5.

Carla Hinton Memorial Biology Scholarship
Student must be enrolled at the sophomore level or higher with an overall and major GPA of 3.0. Finacial need is considered.

Tom A. Stombaugh Pre-Medical Scholarship
Student must have completed 60 credit hours toward a BS degree in Biology with a minimum 3.0 GPA and 15 hours of Biology (including BIO 235) with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to a student planning a career in medicine.

Milton Topping Graduate Summer Research Assistantship
Student must be enrolled in the Biology graduate program and submit a typed proposal describing the research to be conducted the summer the assistantship is granted. Preference will be given to beginning graduate students.
