Financial Aid

Receiving your Aid

Based on your application for admission and the results of your FAFSA, The Office of Student Financial Aid will calculate a financial aid package for you, enabling you to finance your college education.  You must request the processor to send the results of your FAFSA to Missouri State (simply fill out the section that asks for the school code - Missouri State is 002503) for us to construct a complete aid package (including sources of aid other than scholarships).

Most students will have received complete aid award letters by April or May.  The award letter will list and explain the aid available for the following school year. Be sure to read your award letter carefully.   Just because an award is listed, does not mean that you will automatically receive it.  To receive your aid, you must sign and return your award letter to the Office of Student Financial Aid.  In addition, some sources of aid, like the Parent Plus Loan, may require additional procedures to claim.

Missouri State offers several "automatic" scholarships determined by your GPA, class rank and ACT or SAT.  These scholarship award letters are sent within two weeks of your acceptance to the university.  If you have been accepted and believe you qualify for an "automatic"  scholarship, but have not received an award letter, please contact the scholarship area of the Office of Student Financial Aid at 417-836-5262.
