ADMISSION
If you have not already done so, complete admission to Missouri State University.
COMPLETE YOUR FAFSA
If you have not completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you may do so at www.fafsa.gov. Missouri State University’s federal school code is 002503.
To add Missouri State University to a previously filed FAFSA, go online at www.fafsa.gov, go to the “correction” tab and add our federal school code (002503) in the appropriate section of your application.
CHECK FINANCIAL AID STATUS
If additional documents are required for processing your financial aid, you will be notified by the Office of Student Financial Aid. Check the status of your financial aid application online at My Missouri State; select the “Profile” tab, then click on the links under “Application Status” in the Financial Aid box.
CONTACT YOUR PREVIOUS INSTITUTION
Financial aid received at other institutions could affect aid eligibility at MSU. If you received a Stafford Loan or Parent Plus Loan (PLUS) in the fall semester at another institution and are transferring to Missouri State University for the spring semester, you must contact the prior institution to request they cancel any subsequent loan disbursement to be made at that school.
If you have started repayment on a student loan and are returning to school, contact your loan servicer found on the NSLDS website.
If you have received funding at another institution from one of the state aid programs listed below, notify the Missouri State Office of Student Financial Aid and contact the Missouri Department of Higher Education by phone at 1-800-473-6757.
