Will the renewal criteria for my scholarship change? No, the criteria to renew your scholarship will not change.
What if the Plus/Minus Grading policy affects the renewal of my scholarship? Although we do not anticipate the grading policy to have a significant affect on scholarship renewal, students who can document that the policy adversely affected their grade point average and caused them to lose their scholarship will be granted an exception. This applies only to students who began prior to the fall 2009 semester.
If I do not renew my scholarship, where do I submit a request for an exception? If you began prior to fall 2009 and can provide documentation that the policy adversely affected your grade point average, you can submit the request to the Office of Student Financial Aid (Carrington 101).
What do I need to submit as documentation? Exceptions will only be granted if students can show that their cumulative grade point average, if recalculated under a straight A, B, C, D, F scale, would meet the renewal criteria. For example, in the recalculation, an A- becomes an A, a B+ and a B- both become B’s. The recalculation must be done on your entire record.
