Join University Ambassadors

We are excited you are interested in being one of the first friendly faces to welcome students to our campus. We hope to see your application!

When is recruitment?

Recruitment will take place in the Fall 2023 semester. We encourage prospective Ambassadors to:

  • Attend one of the information sessions listed below, if possible, AND
  • Submit an application through BearLink by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, October 13. Note that you will have to be logged into your Missouri State account to access the application. 

How do I join?

You must apply and be selected. Applicants are required to have:

  • A full-time undergraduate status,
  • Completed at least 24 hours at Missouri State by May 2024 AND
  • At least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.

When’s the next info session?

  • August 28, 2023 – 4 to 5 p.m. – Davis-Harrington Welcome Center
  • September 7, 2023 – 5 to 6 p.m. – Davis-Harrington Welcome Center
  • September 12, 2023 – 7 to 8 p.m. – Zoom session
  • September 21, 2023 – 5 to 6 p.m. – PSU Union Club (Room 400)
  • September 27, 2023 – 7 to 8 p.m. – Zoom session
  • October 2, 2023 – 4 to 5 p.m. – Plaster Student Union Room 317
  • October 10, 2023 – 4 to 5 p.m. – Davis-Harrington Welcome Center

Dates to keep in mind

  • August 20, 2023 – Visit our table at the Student Organization Fair from 3 to 5 p.m. on the West Mall and 5 to 7 p.m. on the North Mall for the Belong-B-Que!
  • October 13, 2023 – Applications due. 
  • October 20, 2023 – Applicants will be notified of their interview times for the Oct. 23-25 interview sessions.
  • October 23-25, 2023 – Interview sessions conducted.
  • November 1, 2023 – Applicants will be notified of the selection committee’s decisions.
  • December 15, 2023 – Hiring paperwork must be completed.
  • February 4, 2024 – Ambassador Training Retreat
  • March 3, 2024 – Ambassador Training Mini-Retreat
